Women's Ministry
The Women’s Ministry serves the emotional, spiritual, physical and social needs of women in the church and broader community by:
  • Leading women and their families to Jesus Christ.
  • Promoting spiritual growth through bible study and prayer groups
  • Increasing participation by women in various aspects of ministry and evangelism
  • Creating ministry resources and forums for women and their families to use to secure healing and deliverance from emotional and physical trauma such as grief, sickness, and abuse.
  • Promoting an atmosphere of unity, community and collaboration among women of all ages, cultures, social and economic backgrounds.

Women of the Word (WOW) Bible Study
 
The WOW Bible study is focused on the spiritual growth and formation of women of every age and background. The study meets at Greater Mt. Nebo A.M.E. Church on Friday at 7:30 PM (as scheduled) and is preceded by a half-hour of praise and worship.
 
The study is directed by Reverend Melynda Clarke and the group is currently reading “Having a Mary Spirit” by Joanna Weaver.

Daughters of Levi

The Daughters of Levi use gifts of Exhortation, Prayer, Prophecy, faith, tongues and interpretation of tongues, discerning of spirits, teacher, compassion, mercy, and  helps to encourage and promote spiritual growth and development among women.  They focus on bible study, intercessory prayer, corporate and individual worship opportunities for Women of Destiny.  Committed to a self disciplined life style which includes daily prayer and devotion, fasting, early morning prayer, routine bible study, praise & worship.  The Daughters of Levi recognize spiritual warfare as their assignment and commune in prayer for the church and greater community.  The Daughters of Levi will pray on behalf of women individually and globally as prayer partners and warriors for Christ.

Samaritan Women

Samaritan Women use gifts of Evangelism, Mercy, Helps, healing, administration, compassion, miracles, giver to proclaim the Gospel to the community and promote transformative ministry for women and their families.  They focus on unveiling relevant issues within the church and community and promote emotional and spiritual support, and social and economic change.  Samaritan Women worship in spirit and truth but also respond by sharing the living water through evangelism and community outreach. 

Women of Virtue

Women of Virtue use their gifts of administration, faith, knowledge, wisdom, giving, service, leadership to envision, plan, organize and administer ministry activities which promote unity and fellowship among the body of Christ. They encourage spiritual and emotional growth, enable opportunities for evangelism and promote the growth and development of the Kingdom of God.   Women of Virtue are able to make visions become realities through effective event planning, anointed hospitality, skilled business planning and implementation.  Women of Virtue have a balanced gifting which enables them to be spiritually grounded in the Lord as well as anointed in administration which honors and glorifies God first, then edifies the body of Christ.
